Turkish News: Turkey Calls Ambassador Back

Turkey calls his ambassador back from Israel following inhumane raid by Israeli Naval Commandos on the ships that killed at least 15 people and wounded 30 others. To add fuel to injury, Israeli TV channels and newspapers are blaming innocent passengers for all this happening by saying that they had attacked Israeli soldiers with knives and axes and they wanted to grab their weapons. They said that Israeli soldiers were on their duties ready to tackle with any critical situation but these passengers, who were coming to Gaza on a 6-boat convoy, made situation aggressive by attacking them and inciting for fight. The convoy was composed by 32 countries and it was taking 10,000 tons of supplies for Gaza while there were 700 passengers on board. Among 20 people who died, 9 were Turkish.

Turkey is furious over Israel’s behavior and they have warned them for serious consequences. Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Arinc refused to accept allegations that ship passengers were responsible for that. He has dismissed his Latin America tour. He said in his statement that he strongly condemned the use of force by Israeli Forces and said that this attack would not remain unanswered. They have called their ambassador back and they have also cancelled there military drills with Israel while Turkish under-18 soccer team is also ordered to not go to Israel. The ships had no ammunition on them and they purely went there for humanitarian purposes. Out of total six, three ships were Turkish flagged and there were 400 Turkish people on them.
