Bolder Boulder 2010 Results

Ethiopian men and women has yet again emerged as the top runners in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Bolder Boulder 10k on Monday, May 31, 2010. More than 53,700 runners participated in the event. Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia won the men’s division of Dick’s Sporting Goods Bolder Boulder 10k with a time of 29:16:93. Tilahun Regassa of Ethiopia was second as he able to finish the race with a time of 29:16:96. The third place also went to an Ethiopian Tadese Tola. Tola’s finishing time was 29:17:08. Defending champ Mamitu Daska won the women’s division in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Bolder Boulder 10k with an impressive time of 32:28 while Ethiopian Amane Gobena was second with a time of 33:11. Emily Chebet of Kenya managed to cross the finish line with a time of 33:40 to earn third spot.

Brian Medigovich was the winner in citizen’s race (men’s division) with a time of 30:16 while Cassie Slade took the first place in the citizen’s race (women’s division) with a time of 35:13. Regassa said,

“We didn’t even try to race each other. We tried to go together. We decided to equally divide the money. That’s the plan.”

Ethiopian women also emerged as the winner in team race to put the icing on the cake.
