June 6, 1944

World war two is considered as the most devastating wars the human race has ever seen. A big number of German citizens were killed in the war. Almost all the Grown up males in Germany were killed by the Allied forces. The Japanese were also destroyed in the world war two as they were struck with nuclear bombs by America. Several diseases were spread among the Japanese due to the nuclear reactions which took place as a result of the nuclear attack by the United States of America. Many important historical events took place in the course of the war.

June 6 1944 is remembered in history as a big day due to the events that took place during the 2nd world war on June 6. June 6 1944 is also called as the day of days. The Allied forces landed on the beach of Normandy in France. About five hundred thousand allied troops took part in that fierce battle. The allied

forces had decided to change the way the war was going, they wanted to finish the Nazi’s once and for all. Germany was in quite a strong position due to a large number of Industrial units it had in Germany and in other parts of Europe. On June 6 1944 the Americans alone lost five thousand troops. The United Kingdom lost more than a thousand and the Canadians lost about twelve hundred troops. The day is also termed as the longest day and is considered as the most brutal day in the World War2 history. Today the people who lost their lives sixty six years back are being remembered by their relatives and their courage and valor is a moral support for their families.
