Four terrorists entered a hospital in Lahore and opened fire on Tuesday morning and killed a dozen of people and wounded many others. Javed Ikram, chief executive of Jinnah hospital, witnessed this attack says that the terrorists entered in to the hospital building and opened indiscriminate fire. According to hospital sources, 12 people are dead while others say that they are 5 including three policemen, one woman and a private security guard. Sajjad Bhutta, a senior city government official, reported the incident in his words and said that they were four men, dressed in elite police uniform and their main aim was to reach their comrade admitted in Intensive Care Unit. They were either wanted to rescue him or killed.
There were approximately 30 policemen standing outside ICU who were given the responsibility to guard ICU and all of them opened fire too when they saw terrorists approaching towards them. The terrorists ran back high jacking a police van after one of their companions was wounded by police gunshot.
Tariq Saleem Dogar, Punjab police chief, says these terrorists had orders from their commandos of killing Moaz, a terrorist who was caught after Friday’s attack on a religious place of a minority community named Ahmedi. Moaz was wounded Friday by police gunshots and caught under arrest. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for medical treatment.
Lahore commissioner, Khusro Pervaiz Khan, said that security forces were chasing terrorists and they were following clues. It seems like the person who is admitted in Jinnah Hospital, is an important member and he knows the people who are behind Friday’s attack.
