While the cast of Sex and the City 2 is busy promoting new movie across the globe and they are also gaining a lot of attentions there but the situation is pretty much different here in home as “Shrek Forever After” has got first position on box office in US leaving behind Sex and the City 2. Not only Shrek but also Prince of Persia has overtaken the Sex and the City 2. On box office, Shrek at first position, Prince of Persia at second while Sex and the City 2 is standing at 3rd position. The cast of SATC is in Tokyo, Japan to fulfill their promotional duties. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis travelled to Japan after movie premiere in London and New York.
Memorial Day weekend clearly showed the winner where Shrek earned an estimated $55.7 million in just 4 Memorial Day holidays. The makers of movie Dreamworks say that it is a movie which you prefer to watch with your family members and Memorial Day holidays were the perfect days for this. They are happy seeing the response of people about the movie and they are also thankful to people who encouraged them for this work. It is fourth film of the series and probably the final chapter, so this was another big reason for movie to be hit. Prince of Persia earned $37.8 million over the weekend while Sex and the City 2 remained at third by earning $37.1 million.
