They

The producers and directors of They – the movie flick that came out in ‘02 – tried their best to make it in to a classy and intriguing suspense / thriller flick, but, quite honestly, it only comes across as your average move making attempt; nothing too impressive to differentiate it from low budget attempts by aspiring movie makers.

Laura Regan is cast to play the part of the main character Julia Lund who is all set to complete a graduate degree with Psychology as the major and while she is preparing for the upcoming exams, she receives a call from Billy Parks – an accomplice of her childhood days – to get together in a nearby bar. The common ground that these two shared as children was that both would find their sleep at night being plagued and infested with nightmares. As They gather at the pub, Billy Parks confesses how he still believes he is still being haunted by the same nightmares and unable to handle them anymore he takes his own life right with Julia watching in horror.

Things get a little more twisted when Terry Alba and Sam Burnside – two of Billy’s associates – meet up with Julia while attending their friend’s funeral and all this results in Julia from starting to be haunted by her nightmares all over again. With more thrilling twists on the way, be sure to check out They; there is more to it then what meets the eye and you actually just might start to like it.
