Mixed martial arts fighter Jarrod Wyatt use his strength to kill his friend and training partner Taylor Powell in March 2010. Jarrod Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend Billy Jo Bailey and friend Justin Davis were also present at the crime scene and they called the police when Wyatt and Powell began to fight. Wyatt, 26, was under the influence of psychedelic drugs and he had got the fear in his mind that end of the world is near, according to reports. Del Norte County Police Sgt. Elwood Lee arrived at the scene and Wyatt told him that Powell’s soul was possessed by the devil and that is why he killed his friend.
Wyatt allegedly cut an 18-inch hole with the knife in Powell’s chest to remove his heart and he also cut his tongue off along with an eyeball. Wyatt cooked the body parts in a wood stove at the Klamath residence on March 21, 2010. He did the entire brutal act to stop the devil because he was under the fear that Powell was still alive. Wyatt is facing a first-degree murder charge and his lawyer says Wyatt was having a psychotic break and therefore he had no control over his brain when the incident took place. Wyatt’s idea about the end of the world and his thoughts about the final struggle between God and the devil ended up in a horrible killing of an innocent person.
